Don't see any threads on how ya'll all did so I thought I'd post up. Struggled on Fri and Sat but did OK at the Open Superstock National Championship on Sunday. Placed 9th. Top 10 finish ain't too bad. There were several DQs..."random" post-race tear downs for illegal parts/builds. Some drama for ya! Anyhoo, here's my time progression over the 8-lap race:

During the first four laps, I was trying to get around a couple of slower guys and there was a waving yellow flag at some point. Finally passed them at Charlotte's Web and then put the hammer down. Lap 8 was my fastest lap and I was still having trouble quick-shifting. This was my first sub-1:38 so I'm happy about that. I think (I hope) I see 1:36 next season!

I had a rough start to the weekend, but ended up in the high 135's. I got into consistent 136's by the end of the weekend, but started in the 138 range. Took some time to get comfy, but I'm happy with my finishes. I took a 2nd in 750 SB on the R6, so that was a lot of fun.

I've been trying to ride a lot of dirt in the off season. Seems to help with the sliding, and late braking.

Haha, I'm making progress I've upgraded from a CRF50 to a CRF70.
