5 hours from DC. I have no idea about open time. I am assuming it will be open all day and sat evening?

Usually you can get in at any time, though maybe not before 6pm on Friday if there's an event still going on.

What do you guys and girls wear for socks on these 90 degree days? Is there anything similar to underarmor heat gear style socks or something that you use to help prevent swamp feet?

I don't know if you'll have any problems getting in but I know the track will be open on friday b/c there is a supermoto pratic day going on. I will be trying to get there early so I can watch some of it.
