Never occurred to me they would sell me a 4 year old helmet.

Hello Jim,

I will not be able to tell you what the manufacture date of what helmet you will receive. If you are concerned with manufacture dates I would recommend buying current helmets. They will have been manufactured last year and this year.

**Helmets do not expire**. Only the warranty does.

In fairness, I've written to the manufacturers and the testing groups for proof about the "5 year" rule, and...there doesn't seem to be any. Personally, I would have no issue wearing a older but new and properly stored helmet...and do because I am cheap. All of my money is measured in tire money. lol
