    Intro Rider gear question

Now that we only check helmets at tech, stuff like this can easily slip through.

    New to the scene

The Duc will be more than enough. 6 months on the street is perhaps an issue, it really depends on your confidence with all the controls. Using the throttle, brakes clutch should be second nature without having to think about it.

    PittRace Intro 10/20

If you are planning on staying for the whole day make sure to bring all the needed gear. The rules are quite different from Intro to Novice. The hayabusa is a LOT of machine! They work quite well but don't let your right hand get you into trouble.o_O

    R9 in 2025

I got into bikes just when Honda went crazy with the 750. I was in college and couldn't afford sh*t but one of my frat brothers had one. It was out of this world cool compared to the sportsters and such. IT HAD A DISC BRAKE!!! Went through all the cool stuff once I could start to afford...

    Track Experience???

Just my opinion but a true novice/Intro would do far better by riding with a coach/CR for his first 2 sessions than riding with a buddy. No offense meant but we've done this hundreds of times. Buddy to buddy riding often leads to the "evil ego" demon getting in the way of learning and we all...

    Opinion on frame???

Woodcraft has these new sliders that are low profile cone shaped. They're kinda big in diameter but they don't appear to "catch" things like the cylinder shaped ones would.

    N2 racing at COTA (spoiler)

If you were at Pitt this past weekend and just catching up with the COTA races......WOW! Blake has really stepped up his game! His second place in the first race was fierce, just plain great riding, determination and decision making. 5 guys all mixing it up. His third place in the second...

    New tire track day morning?

Typically we ask for 50% life remaining but that is a highly judgemental thing. I've tech'd bikes with questionable tires and the rider was going to get it changed out after tech. Truthfully, I took him at his word that he would follow through.

Blue GSXR 1000R rims with rotors/cush drive

Selling both a front and a rear rim from my '18 1000R. The front is stock with both rotors and less than 1000 miles on it, a very few minor nicks in the blue from tire changes $500 shipped to CONUS. The rear is in same condition and includes stock rotor, 525 sprocket and internal cushes, also...

    Chest and Back Protectors

Check out Safety Impact Armor. I've been using (and testing it :( ) it for 15 years.

    BRAKE PADS

The pads seem to wear exponentially faster the thinner they get. Once they start to go away they are toast shortly thereafter. I got caught (again) this past weekend at Pitt. Three day affair and I thought I'd be good for all three....nope....after just one day coaching in Novice the brakes...

    2018 GSXR 1000R spare parts...and stuff.

I sold my track prepped GSXR but the buyer only wanted the bike, not any of the stock stuff or parts. I have a complete set of stock black body work including everything from fairing, fenders, handlebars, lights, foot pegs, full exhaust, throttle etc (no tank). This was removed from the bike...

    PittRace 5/11 Newcomer

It's natural to have "butterflies" on your first track day. By lunch time you'll wondering what all the fuss was about. Be open to advice and check your ego back at the entrance gate and be ready for a new "life experience". Remember, thousands of us have been where you are. Oh, and by the...

Novice / First Time Track Day Etiquette Questions

Hi Ray, I remember you from the first day at Pitt. You did fine during those first sessions. This sport is mostly mental and getting your focus properly adjusted goes a long way towards having fun and improving. You're on the very steep part of the learning curve so maintain that good...
