The flip side of this is MotoGP. German GP was a total snoozefest and MotoGP has been Ducati cup since 2022. It's a catch-22 but I think WSBK's system creates better entertainment, which is ultimately the goal IMO.

Great word! Aprilia randomly let a Moto2 rider test a GP bike so I don't think there are any rules around that. Ironically I think MotoGP riders are more restricted in what they can test- the most they can ride outside of a GP bike are bone stock liter bikes.

    One on one lessons?

I'm still in novice. I run mid 1:40s at NCBIKE so plenty of room for improvement. I ride at CMP and NCBIKE. I basically want someone to go between giving me a tow and following to tell me what to work on. I might go with YCRS

    Charlotte Motor Speedway

Hell, I would settle for that honestly. Still kills me that GoPro Motorplex doesn't allow bikes. Charlotte needs a minibike kart track.

    One on one lessons?

I threw my GoPro footage into RaceChrono and found I go way faster when following faster riders. I did ATP and liked it, will prob do it again in the future..... but how would I go about getting someone faster than me to follow/follow me for a TD? Preferably on a 600 (I have a "Daytona" 765)

NC Bike Track Day Tire Service

Ask around at NCBike- there will def be some folks in the paddock taking wheels/tires off their bikes for whatever reason, though they might be in a rush I guess.

Front row of SSP is all triples :D (MV, Triumph, Yamaha) It's a triple takeover. I'm as excited for SSP as I am for SBK (and just a hair less than MotoGP)

Saw this on Reddit. Moto2 bikes are running 800cc GP lap times. If Dorna was smart theyd do a side to side video comparison showing how differently the lap times are achieved. My guess is it has to be the tires; 15 years of tire development is huge. Still that's pretty effing cool.

Im excited about this season I think Marc has it in the bag, Pecco will give him a fight too.... but there are prob 3-4 riders I can see outside of them bagging wins (both Fabios, Jorge Martin, Pedro)

For me, it's the "anteater" fairing that is prevalent across the grid. All the empty space between the front wheel and fairing is hideous, but I'm guessing is aerodynamically optimal as everyone does it. It almost looks like an adventure bike: Compare that to this: IMO the way the front...

All the race series (including MotoGP) should move to spec fuel + fuel flow limits. Then let teams do whatever they want outside of that. I'm an engineer so I want to see the engineers play

I am waiting with baited breath for how the R9 does. I imagine there are still R6s still on the grid? Would love to see how they compare head to head, if not here then in MA.

    2007 Ninja 650

It's a fun bike when dialed in... The lack of support is a pain though, I have a lot of custom parts on mine. Weirdly my Street Triple feels even lighter.
