I've had this bike for about 4 years now, but spend way too much time at the track to ride it on the street. Last year I put a grand total of 10 whole miles on it. For those not familiar with the Blackbird, it was originally developed in '97 by Honda to be the fastest bike on the planet - only to be supplanted by the Hayabusa a few years later. (Fun fact: Hayabusa is the japanese name for Peregrine Falcons, which feed on Blackbirds). As opposed to the Hayabusa, the Honda Blackbird is extraordinarily well suited to be used as a nice 1 or 2 up Sport Tourer. This one is perfectly setup for such use.

The bike is in practically perfect condition. Just a few of the features....

  • Front forks rebuilt and valved by Cogent Dynamics
  • Brand new Nitron double clicker rear shock with remote hydraulic preload
  • New Stator, and SH775 Series Voltage Regulator
  • Virtually brand new Q3s
  • SW Motech fully detachable hard case mounts (mounts themselves can go on and off in less than 2 minutes)
  • Givi Monokey hard cases
  • PCIII USB, dynoed and tuned by Brian Livengood
  • Hindle Exhaust
  • Braided stainless front brake lines
  • LSL Superbar front handlebar setup (more relaxed riding position)
  • PDM60 power distribution unit, along with USB Power port and voltage indicating LED monitor
  • Approx 24k miles. Always fresh oil/filter/etc.
  • Corbin Gunfighter plus lady seat and removable backrest - also have original seat.
  • Currently has Garmin GPS installed - could be sold without.
Smooth, easy to ride, but PLENTY of power, great balance of handling and stability. More agile than an FJR or Concours 14 but same kind of power - all with high reliability.

Bike is in excellent condition - a few scratches on the tank due to stupidity on my part while working on the bike while the tank was off (doh!).

Located vic Pittsburgh, PA. Asking $5K depending on whether buyer wants GPS.

BTW, having some crazy issues putting pics on the thread. In a hurry, so in the interim just let me know and I can send pics. I'll fix this later.

Bill I'm sure interested parties are only going to want pictures of the bike.

Hopefully some pics. Friggin Photobucket has effectively taken images hostage with their new policies.

SW Motech case mounts remove in seconds, allowing the bike to be clean. Backrest quickly removes also from Corbin seat for solo riding.

Buddy of mine had one of these, typical Honda fit and finish. If you need a sport oriented sport-tourer you can't go wrong with one of these. GLWS.
