you can street a salvage - it just shows it was totaled at some point and repaired - i believe

Wrong. In the states that I know of you need a rebuilders license and all the reciepts of the parts you replaced to turn it back to road worthy and safe. This is all before it can be inspected and brought back onto the road.

Actually, most states dictate a "Salvage Title" as the vehicle is once again road worthy but has indeed been rebuilt from a non-road worthy state. Rebuildable titles means that it is repairable but will not be deemed roadworthy until a DOT inspection.

Between my dad, brothers and their business partners, they have bought/repaired/resold rebuildable vehicles from 47/50 states.
