I did my first track day 10/26 at Summit Point and am hooked. I have two street bikes, a BMW K1200S and Ducati Sport 1000, and an '02 Gixxer 600 (black number 96) for the track.
I enjoyed the day despite the newness and some mechanical gremlins in the bike, Tom, Alan and BobbyG were patient and answered all my questions. There was another CR whose name escapes me, but he helped out with some of the mechanical issues that day.
So the plan for now is to get the bike ready for next season and hit Summit Point and/or possibly VIR monthly.
Some geezers buy a Corvette and a blond for their mid-life crises. I buy bikes.
It helps to have a wife who rides and understands the addiciton.
