corner worker communication

Does anybody know what radio frequency the tracks use for communication between corner workers.

CB, UHF, FRS . . . ???

Or maybe most tracks are hard wired between corner worker stations. IDK ???

Just thinking out load that at times (red flags for example) it would be nice to listen in and find out what is happening. And not to worry it would be for listening only, no plans what so ever, to blurt into any conversations.

Gonna be honest, it was really nice being tied into race direction at MA at PIRC last year (on listen only), I could be walking somewhere random and know exactly what's going on on-track.

Including when we forgot to mount the transponder first practice, ran back to the pit to see the cradle literally swinging transponderless and I turn around and another one of my team is already on his way back with it LOL
