For sale I have a 2002 Ducati Monster 620 Dark with 11,683 miles. I am asking $2,500 or best offer, as serious offers will be considered. It is located in Northern, VA. Once we communicate a bit, and you want to look at it, I can provide a better location. I will not offer any test rides, as it is not registered. I prefer a cash deal, and local pickup, though I can transport to a handful of tracks in the area ( Summit, NCBike, Pitt, NJMP ) that I am already planning on doing a track day at with N2 (we can figure that out later for interested parties). I have a signed title from the previous owner, and you will also get a bill of sale with the bike. The bike will be offered as-is with no warranty.

About the bike:
I received the bike from a friend who stopped riding and parked it. It sat for 4-7 years before he wanted it gone. I brought it back to life, cleaned out the tank and POR-15 coated/sealed it, put a new chain on it, and two new tires, changed the oil and filter. I also had to put an aftermarket fuel cap on the tank, as the OEM keyed tank cap was corroded shut, and broke upon removal. As seen from the pictures, it may have fallen over at some point, and the handlebars were bent and the blinkers dry rotted (they have both been replaced), and there is a dent in the tank and some scratches in the front fender. As for what actually happened, I honestly have no idea. With a new battery I installed, it fires right up with no hesitation. I have test ridden it, and it runs smoothly at speed, shifts well, and generally runs well. The rear taillight is an integrated tail/blinker. There may be other things that need service given the age, but this would be something that the next owner would need to figure out, as I am not a Ducati expert. Everything else seems to be OEM and as it should be.

Overall the bike is in a bit better than fair, but less than average condition. it has a low seat height, and would make a great starter bike. If you are interested post here and send me a PM, I will typically respond within 24 hours.

If you have any questions about that bike not already covered here just ask and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks

Seems like I cannot edit this ad, so I will add it here.

One thing I noticed while writing this ad:
The title has 2009 as the year. The VIN and the MFG date match a 2002. SO to be 100% clear this is a 2002 not a 2009. Not sure why that is wrong, probably a typo when the previous owner registered it. Also the mileage in the title is 14201, but the odometer clearly states 11683. I think what happened was that the read off 1420.1 off the trip odometer, and didn't read the actual mileage. Again, I don't have much of the history of this bike, so I can only say what I know about it.

If a moderator could fix the original post to be a 2002, that would be great!

Thanks Dave!!!

If anyone had any questions, let me know. It is a great little bike, for someone to learn on, or to use as a commuter.
