The cost on tires is a bit highier due to wear from da power. To race is this much $$$$$$$ to PLACE is this much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (when going with top dog tires eg. uk ntec and uk slicks). I wanna race more this season with trackdays. I know da Wallet is gonna scream but I'm covering my ears. Lol

What size rear KR449 is everyone running on their 600 with stock 5.5 rim? 190/55 or 200/55? I would have assumed 190 but the Dunlop site seems to suggest running the 200 even on a 5.5" rim. I believe I read somewhere that the 190/60 GPA is same size/profile as the 200/55 KR449?

Yes the 190/60 D211GPA is the same width and diameter as the 200/55 KR449 slick, and are interchangeable without any setup changes.

Riders with 5.5 rims have the option of using the 190/55 D211GPA or 190/55 KR449 slicks, or choose from the higher performing 190/60 D211GPA or 200/55 KR449 slick. either size will work on the 5.5 rim, with the larger tire (190/60 or 200/55) being the better performer.

Newer riders will be very happy with the smaller rear and will enjoy the better pricing, while if you are in the faster groups the bigger tire will give better overall traction and lap times.

Just this weekend at Barber, AMA riders broke track records in all 4 classes. Supersport and Sportbike classes using the 190/60 D211GPA and the Superbike class using the 200/55 KR449 slick.

I hope this help you make your choice.

Steve I'm tempted and contemplating switching but have a couple of questions:

Currently running the pirelli track day pros and am getting a bunch of days out of them by flipping etc. I like them, when I break them free they hook back up smoothly, decent traction etc. looking for a tire with slightly more grip.

I'm on a Buell 1125 with aftermarket exhaust, but am still concerned about clearance issues, stock tire is 180/55, how do the 190 55 or 60 and the 200 compare in tire height to the pirelli tdpro 180/55?
