Kenny at MRP and Ron at Washington Cycle Works both confirmed there is no max out. There is a clip in there, not a pin. It works just like a lid on a soda/pop bottle. You can turn it all you want, but it just spins. When you start to turn it back in the clip engages and begins turning in the adjuster. Crazy, but at least we now know the way it works.
