Q5 vs R11 in the wet

Just buy rain tires. Using street tires for the wet allows the occasional trackday rider to get by when the weather doesn’t work out. You ride enough that you should have rain tires for the wet.
 
The old GP-As weren't bad in the wet. Q3 was excellent. Not sure about the two you ask about, although I do have a set of Q5s I mounted a yeare or two ago and haven't run yet. I've never needed rain tires at a track day. I gave mine away years ago.

Can't comment from my own experience, but we were playing this game last year using DOTs as a possible intermediate between our slicks and rains. IIRC we ended up going with the R11 based on feedback from Quentin and from @GummyShark430 actual experience.
