Signature Permissions

Would it be possible to set signature permissions to allow smilies? It would be awesome to be able to use these: in sigs. I noticed one CR who was using it but suspect CRs have different permissions set. Or, maybe I'm just having a brain fart and can't get it to work. Thanks either way!

Another idea might be to have it near the screen name above the avatar.

Because of the size of some of the smilies (and to conserve bandwidth), they're purposefully disabled for normal user signatures.
