What do you think this means?

Don’t be a Hero, be consistent.
I have a 2009 CBR600RR that’s my new track bike. The bike was only street ridden until I got a hold of it. I have been cleaning and prepping it for track duty I noticed this scratched into the case. The vin and engine number match so I am at a loss for what LN2002 means. I doubt it a year because that year engine probably won’t fit in here any, even if the engine numbers didn’t match the vin.
Maybe I own a time machine o_O

When I worked in a shop we used to stamp blocks , heads etc. to keep track of them and log it into the master book with work done.

All of my engines have similar markings on them. I suspect it is for manufacturing to either track the big bits, or to mate the right bits together to maintain tolerance ranges.

Mike, I ha e a 2009 CBR 600rr as well. Mine has similar markings, but says SI 1033. I would imagine it may just be a mfr marking from assembly.
