Here's the top 20. Can you think of any more?:

  1. Knowledgeable: Factory training, dealer training, product training, experience! Our staff is made up entirely of riders, racers and even corner workers.
  2. Experience: Currently over 60 combined years of experience in the motorcycle industry (as of 2015).
  3. Attention to detail: We’re used to working meticulously on race bikes where a small mistake on something that regularly goes over 130mph could be catastrophic. We apply that same care and scrutiny to every bike we work on!
  4. We’re locally known: Bike nights, riding clubs, but we are definitely not known for building and tuning bikes that win street top-out, roll-on and standing start races. Because those are illegal.
  5. We’re regionally known: We’ve been WERA’s Southeast regional race sponsor for the last several years! We not only attend and race all the SE events at tracks like Road Atlanta, Barber, Roebling Road and Talladega Gran Prix but also vend needed parts and provide suspension and other bike servces.
  6. We’re nationally known: we’ve built bikes for and / or crewed and crew chiefed on teams that have competed in WERA National Challenge, WERA Endurance and AMA Pro racing! Currently we’re preparing bikes and riders for the new MotoAmerica.
  7. We’re internationally known: Huey has been a crew chief at the Isle of Man TT twice (one rider earned a bronze replica which means he finished within 110% of the winners time) and at the Macau GP in China. All the bikes flew MarMo stickers and Huey and one of the bikes makes a BRIEF appearance in the movie TT3D.
  8. We race: MarMo employees have a former AMA motocross racer, WERA Endurance team owners, a multitude of WERA podiums including several 1st places and in 2014 Huey was the WERA, Expert, Southeast, Senior Superbike (Medium weight) Champion!
  9. We sell and support great products like: Ohlins, Vortex, Motul, Dunlop, VP fuels, Galfer, Moto-D, and TrakJak!
  10. N2 trackdays vendor: We have a HUGE trailer full of goodies that we take to all the N2 Southeast events. We also provide suspension service and are their Dunlop tire vendor and fitter.
  11. N2 race school: We authored and teach the accredited race school that allows N2 track day riders to get their WERA and CCS race licenses!
  12. Our own trackdays: Every blue moon, we’ll rent a track and invite our customers for an awesome semi-private day of testing and tuning. Plus we love when street riders come and get to really explore their skills in a safe environment.
  13. Veteran owned: Huey was a Loadmaster on C-130s for 14 years at Dobbins ARB. He has 2,300 flight hours which has taken him all over the world. He was awarded an Air Medal and an Aerial Achievement Medal supporting humanitarian missions over Bosnia and into Sarajevo.
  14. We are not a dealership: That’s a good thing! We don’t have hidden agendas with any recommendations. We are able to get to know you and your bike better. We feel we’re able to help you better understand what we’re doing by taking you into the shop and showing you on your own bike. You will get more value for your hard earned money.
  15. We’re not a “skate shop”: Skate shop mentality is when everyone on the staff looks down on you because you don’t have the coolest, newest, hottest parts and they won’t help you unless that’s what you’re there to buy. Our only goal is to make you happy by getting you exactly what you want to the best of our ability; no matter what you ride or how you ride it. (Unless it’s a Chinese scooter or a Harley Davidson because we simply don’t work on them. Not that there’s anything wrong with them.)
  16. Cruisers too: We have an awesome, knowledgeable, experienced metric cruiser mechanic named Skinny!
  17. Dyno tuning: Huey on our DynoJet 250i is an artist. People have come from as far as Louisville, KY to have their bikes tuned here. And not just for a number. We go for rideability also! If you can’t get to the peak number smoothly then what good is it?
  18. Hang out: We have an open shop meaning you can come watch your bike being worked on. Saturday’s is our “drive up” up day which is first come / first served for oil changes, tire installs etc. Plus we have pizza on that day! We’ve held bike nights, educational classes, and even movie nights with a popcorn machine!
  19. "You don’t need that": Something we’ve actually told more than one customer! You heard that right, we’ve talked customers out of buying stuff from us when it wasn’t going to help them or not do what they thought it was going to do.
  20. 1989: That’s how long we’ve been around! Since 1989! Huey has owned MarMo since 2006.
  21. Above and beyond: That’s why there are 21 things on a 20 item list. We always try and go the extra mile.
