Crush washers and brake bleeding

I have searched and read the many fine forums on how to go about solving brake bleeding problems.

The question I have is can the crush washers get deformed from bleeding at the banjo bolt? I don't have a bleeder screw on my MC ('01 Gixxer 750). I am wondering if air is getting back into my system from deforming the crush washer upon bleeding. :dunno:

I did do a caliper overhaul which is why I am now bleeding brakes. However, I am finding no leakage or weeping anywhere around the calipers so I think I got the calipers re-installed correctly.

Not sure, but it makes sense that repeated opening and closing could eventually cause a leak. One thing to consider is that they make a banjo bolt that has a bleeder incorporated into it. I used one on my CBR929, as it had no bleeder nipple on the master. Looks like this: http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?productId=p194426

Just have to find out if you need coarse (1.25) or fine (1.0) pitch threads.

crush washers are fairly inexpensive....just buy new ones

Maybe so, but they're designed to be crushed once. I've had some luck forcing the fluid/air back into the MC by pusing in the pistons of the calipers, after bleeding/cleaning them. YMMV.
