Dennis, I've missed all you guys. Yes, I'm healing fine. I've decided to rest my bones thru September and then I'll be back. I've decided that I don't need a pure track bike - that should remove some temptation to ride beyond my limits. I'm gonna tape up my K13S and ride it on the track. It's a great bike and I just want to get better and better on it. I've had the R1 repaired - except for the fairings, windscreen and frame pegs. It runs fine and I think will make someone else a good track bike.

I almost hesitate to say this but, reading about Mike Kelly's experience and the experience of his family on Care Pages has put me in mind of the responsibilities that I still have so I'm looking for perfection at a lower speed and on a bike that offers me some protection from my shortcomings with ABS and a more sophisticated suspension. I think about Mike daily and wish him a speedy recovery and I am reminded that I was luckier than most to only break 5 ribs and a scapula.

I'll probably show up at CMP in September just to see the scene of the crime and shake everybody's hand - especially yours.
