I just attended my first NESBA track day on June 1 at NJMP, which just so happened to be my first track day, period. I've been a 20 year street rider, but I was a little nervous rocking the track on my first day.
I shouldn't have been nervous, because 5 minutes into setting up my awning in the pits, I found out that the vibe of the place, the guys in the pits, and the NESBA guys themselves was just awesome. The guys teching my bike were really cool and got me stoked, the CR's were great, other riders in the pits were very helpful, the day was awesome and I was thrilled to be skimming the deck with my knee by the end of the third session!
Now I'm pumped! I've always thought of myself as a pretty skilled rider, doing motocross, fast road riding, you name it.......but I learned more about my bike and myself in one day on the track than I have in the last 10 years it seems.
I can't wait for more!
