So, here's what I found today after taking my brake fluid cup off on a whim.
That stupid little hairline crack was covered by the hose and clamp, and never really leaked. But I believe that it was pulling the tiniest amount of air and causing my front brakes to suck.
Here's the strange part- This more than likely happened at Summit on August 4th of this year.
I have rode since then and never thought to pull this cup and see if it broke, probably because it never leaked.
So lesson learned: If anything contacts the ground in the future, pull it off, and disassemble it to check every last bit for damage.
