yep the title says it, i am a NEWBIE from South Dakota. not new to bikes, had my first track day last summer in hastings, plan to attend many this summer. going to MAM next weekend, look for the red sonoma with the blue zx6r, if you are there and say hi in person.

how late are the pits open friday night, i am guessing i could get there between 7:30pm and 8:00pm

They are open all night. They have overnight security at the gate. Most of us just camp at the track in RV's, trailers, tents, or the back of suv's and trucks. Save the money from a hotel for more track days and tires in the future.

i was thinking about the camping route, but my dad used some points and got us a free stay at a hotel.
