What's stopping you from your first track day?

Machine age/technology has absolutely nothing to do with anything, and I know you know that.

Hopefully you've pointed your friend to this thread. Hopefully your Buddy comes out and he decides to give riding with us a try.

I'd love to meet him and welcome him to the family.

I'll give a hearty "Hooo Rah!" at the Rider's Meeting when he raises his hand that this day is his first Track Day that would make a platoon of Marines proud.

If he needs gear, I've got an extra size 48 suit, 43 boots, XL gloves, and back protector I'll donate to him to use for the day.

He needs his bike and a helmet. That's it.

Amy makes a bitchin' cup of coffee in the morning. (Lenny stop buy the RV in the morning for a cup before Tech.)

What's his favorite beer? I'll have it in the cooler.

And after the Day's over, once he tries Emerson and Shiloh's Jalepeno cream cheese spicy chicken treats, that will seal the deal. Those things are HEAVENLY!
He'll be hooked after he eats about 2 of those.
Beer, jalapeño chicken bites wrapped in bacon...Holy shit, where do I sign up!?:)

Oh, and Ferenc, you did mention that we started a new Novice program last year? He'll have a designated CR for at least the morning sessions. Generally we've had 2-3 brand new track riders per CR. So he's not going to just get thrown out onto the track; he'll have an escort!

While the Jalapeños bites would definitely sell me, I think your idea is what did the trick! This whole time I thought appealing to the inner maniac in him would do it, but it was actually reinforcing how much hand holding there that made him comfortable. I think that technically means we all get to share the beer for this learning!:D

I told him I'm releasing this picture of his text today and if he doesn't come, I'll release his phone and address!

Awesome, another junkie in the making. Most folks, whether they admit it or not, are nervous about their first trackday. It's the maniac ones who have too much ego and no fear that scare us.

Excellent News! You may want to tell him that he can get tires at the track from Colin probably a LOT cheaper than he can from is dealership.

Excellent point Judy and very true! I was nervous as hell my first day, but by the end of the day I was hooked just like everyone else. Much better to come to the track with a sense of mortality.

Get Bo to make the coffee. It will put hair on your chest if you don't have any or remove it if you're Sasquatch!

If you seek out tomseviltwin or Borislav they can give you some insight on riding the RC on the track. Both are/were very fast on that thing.

All right Fellas. Can't wait. Just need to update my avatar with me riding around the track. Looking forward to the spring!

I'm going to say your name is Paul from the top of the text? Please correct me if I'm wrong! Anyway, you have just made one of those decisions that will change the way you look at riding! You will learn how to ride faster and safer than you ever thought possible! Ask Fehdee about when he and Kas started and you'll get what its all about! Your gonna Love it!;)

Totally agree with Lenny. Just keep this in mind Paul (if that is really your name ), in order to go faster, you must learn to ride safer first. You need to be humble enough to ask for help, listen to what these guys tell you to do, and be willing to change the way you ride. The speed will come.
