06/07 vs 08/09 R6v Forks

Anyone know the difference between the 06/07 and 08/09 R6v Forks? I have done some digging and cant seem to find an exact answer. People say the 08 forks are longer but don't know how much longer. I've heard there is differences in the valving. Just curious if anyone on here knows for sure what the differences are. I have some 08 forks to go on my 06 track bike and just want to make sure they will work all right. Thanks in advance.

The 08 forks are 10mm longer than 06-07. You should be fine with putting the 08 forks on your 06. Just measure the amount of fork showing above your triple now and add 10mm when you install the 08 forks.
