Control Rider
Thinking about selling my 1986 GSXR 750. I cannot comfortably ride it due to a knee injury, so it sits more than it should. I am thinking about making room in the garage for something I will ride more, so this is kind of a feeler. If someone is seriously interested though, I would part with it.

1986 Suzuki GSXR 750. This is the first year the GSXR was available in the States. I am the second owner of this bike. It has aftermarket flush mount turn signals on it and the only reason I have not put the stock signals back on it is to keep it kind of the "retro" look. The rear fender was cut down before I bought it so I fabricated a rear fender with tag light. Bike is currently set up for solo riding only, but I have all original parts including the passenger rearsets.

Bike has a full Factory Yoshimura exhaust that sounds awesome! It has been ground down on one corner, but the can was turned and Yoshimura placard moved, so it is not noticable. (Original owner hit a dog and went down on the right side. He stayed under the bike and the only damage was to the pipe) I have the original exhaust which looks almost new! The carbs have a stage 1 jet kit in them. I have the original main jets and needles for the carbs even!

Only suspension mods are RaceTech emulators in the forks. Rear shock is stock. The bike starts and runs excellent. It does seem to have a tendancy to occasionally foul a plug and also tends to hesitate off idle sometimes when warm. I have a new set of pilot jets that I was going to install when I get some time, but have not done so yet. If I rode it more, I would take more time to dial it in better. The tank has been Kreemed to seal it.

Bike currently has just over 25,000 miles, but you could not tell it by looking at the bike. It is not perfect, but it is VERY clean! Paint is in excellent condition!

Parts with the bike:
Original exhaust that looks close to mint.
Original turn signals.
Original rear grab bar.
Spare calipers that I got with the bike.
Matching Suzuki rear stand.
Other stuff I am probably forgetting as well.
One Dunlop and one Avon rear tire. Both are new condition, though I probably would be hesitant to run the Dunlop. It is a NOS tire.

Full service manual comes with the bike.

I am thinking of selling for $4,000. I don't NEED to sell it, so I have no desire to haggle over pricing, but a valid offer will be considered.

Bike is located in Carthage, NC.
