Bike prep - fairing on or off?

I do have frame sliders, so will that be enough to save the fairings should something go wrong? Or does it not matter?
Frame sliders are really good for dropping the bike or low speed slides.
A big slide odds are they will catch on something and flip the bike.
Nothing says you cannot ride nekkid. or you could do this
