Dunlop Plant in New York Closing

Although not specifically mentioned, I wonder how much of these "mounting financial losses" have to do with the various NY State Taxes. They could probably shut the plant down, build a new one in another state and regain their losses in 10 years somewhere else. The last Q5 I bought was made in Japan anyway. Still very unfortunate for the 1550 people that need new jobs.
 
My mechanic is fitting a Dunlop 160 slick on my bike right now and told me we managed to land 1 of 2 remaining tires left in the national Dunlop network. :'(
Apparently, they're not making 160/165 slicks anymore, even in other plants.

That's why I bought Bridgestone V02s
 
Recently? I know another vendor (Bridgestone) who said he just checked his system, and Bridgestone doesn't make VO2 160 rears. Im going to check with stickboy next time I see him regardless.
 
Dunlop is working on a new 165 slick. I need to check on how it's going.

Bridgestone does make a good 165 still. I think it's a R02z, not a V02. I have to look when I go back in our warehouse. I don't use that info for that slick, but I have a bunch of them in stock.

Thank you. I didn't even have to seek you out! Will you be with us way down yonder in southern Florida this weekend? Assuming you'll be at RR on the 3/8 - 3/9 weekend?

Right. The V02 is the front and 180 rear I got for my R6.

No, I found out Friday afternoon, that I wasn't covering this event, or any others. If you need anything, I have someone bringing tires down that are pre paid for.
