Heat tape

Does anyone know where I can get some heat tape for my belly pan? I've been to autozone and home depot and neither have what I need. I'm looking for an asphaltic type tape or a foil backed foam of some kind. Looking for something soon as I'd like to ride with my belly pan this weekend at RA. Any thoughts?

I used this company's stuff when part of my exhaust was touching my lower.

I first used the adhesive backed radiant heat barrier on the actual lower and, when that wasn't enough, I used their exhaust insulating header wrap. Cured the problem of my paint boiling off of the lower :). I was able to pick it up at a parts store near me when I lived in Brookfield and they now have motorcycle specific packages. Not sure where you live, but this is their website.

if they are too far for you, the thermotec website lists stores that carry their products and maybe you can find a closer one that has what you need in stock. Good luck and have fun at RA!!!!!!

I have bought it from True Value hardware stores before. It's in the heating section and can be found in rolls or small sheets.

I think I need to do this too. Did you use the 1" or 2" tape? Does it make much of a difference?
