Membership renew questions

Howdy all,

My membership is about to renew and I'm likely to buy the cheap $25 one for 2012, if I buy one, instead of the full monte membership I've had for years.

Is there any negative to letting this one expire tomorrow and leaving a gap before I buy the new one? I am not likely to have a track day until at least May with NESBA and the five months leading up to that seems like a waste of membership time...unless the gap matters.

And if the VIR days go belly up due to death curbing... :eek:

The membership costs the same what does it matter whether it's 8 mos or 12 ? It's not like you get penalized or anything !

"5. Memberships are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and expire 365
days from date of activation."

I believe the free elite membership runs from 1/1 to 12/31 of the same year. Paid memberships run for 1 year from time of purchase? Example 4/30/12 to 4/30/13.
