I was told in order to ride in the advanced group you need a one piece. Is this true or can you ride with a two piece that zippers together.

From page 20 in the Riders Manual:

" Leather or textile riding suits (i.e., Cordura, Kevlar, or Aerostich-type).
No textile suits will be allowed in the Advanced group. Two-piece
suits must zip together; full circumference is required.
Airmesh-style suits (where you can see your skin through
them) will NOT be permitted.
o No jeans allowed. Rental leathers are available."

On the subject of leathers:
If you rent a suit for $50, Do you get boots?
If you fall down, do you loose all of your $500 deposit?
I have a friend who wants to ride a track day but has no suit.

You can email derek.leslie@nesba.com and ask him to add a pair of boots to your leather rental. He shouldn't charge you anything extra. I believe you lose your deposit if you go down and damage the suit or boots.
He will not charge you though for minor scrapes and scratches to the boots. Normal wear and tear stuff he's ok with.

There's endless amounts of end-of-season deals on suits right now.......tell your friend to just buy a suit.
