A friend of mine is curious about joining a track day and since I'll be at Summit on Saturday, he is considering meeting me there at some point to see the paddock and watch a couple sessions.

Does Summit allow that? Does he let them know he's with a participant to get in? He said he tried to go spectate a car event in the past but was turned away.

Yes they will allow him in, just tell him to let them know that he's with the N2 event, no need to specify role. They will have him sign the standard waiver that everyone signs, and then he will be allowed to enter. If you haven't been to Summit before, a bicycle or scooter is helpful because there are lots of great places to watch from and none of them are close to each other.

There's a set of bleachers kinda hidden by the trees at the end of the yellow line outside of 5 that's nice. You can watch them come down the hill from 4 all the way through to 9.
