Vintage Sidecar bikes

I've been browsing the web and haven't been able to find a site or forum for info and or used sidecar bikes. I know this is a sportbike site but maybe someone might have some info to guide me to a site that would be useful. * also if anyone has one or had one any advice or info on them. I like the older German style bikes but can't seem to find them. What are they called? Thanks for any info .

Best place I know of is the site for the United Sidecar Association at http://www.sidecar.com/. If you need something specific you can't find, somebody on there should be able to help. Their forum is pretty friendly.

As for what kind of bike you're looking for, the old German bikes would be BMWs with boxer engines. Ural makes such things currently. They look like roughly WWII vintage machines. Sadly, they don't offer a machine gun for the mount on the sidecar, just a spotlight.
