I have a first gen '01 YZF-R6...
It is both my street bike and trackday bike...
On this year R6, the bike would not start with the kick stand down. it would have to be put up, and thus pressing against some sort of button or switch, for the bike to be started and run.
About a year ago, the kickstand wiring came loose from where the switch is located. The subsiquent button assembly then fell out of its mechanism (all of which i still have). Since the bike still stared and ran fine, i put it out of my mind to get it fixed or tried to remove it. Since then, however, i have stared to get a kind of cut-off out of the bike during idle at lights or while it is warming up. Since no other electrical symptoms are occuring, and since i have just had it serviced for the carbs and engine, i think this is starting to flare up on me.
I know that there is some sort of rewire that the racers do when removing the kickstand, and wanted to know if anyone had a detailed instructional about how to perform that procedure
