Thank you all for your many many thoughts and prayers the last two weeks. The support of family and friends has been essential to getting through this difficult time.

Many have indicated a wish to make charitable contributions in Mike’s memory. Below are two organizations which were important in Mike’s life and also represent two of his greatest passions, technology and motorcycle safety. You would be paying a great tribute to Mike if you choose to offer a donation to either in his name.

§ United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania

o Follow this link then choose option for ‘Give Now’ http://www.uwsepa.org/Donate.asp

o Mike served on Information Technology Advisory Board for this organization and was instrumental in assisting with the IT Collaborative and in helping enhance electronic pledging functions. According to Jill Michael, President and CEO of UWSEPA, Mike’s ‘expertise and counsel were invaluable.’ Contributions will be directed to IT-related initiatives.

§ Roadracing World Action Fund

o The Roadracing World Action Fund's mission is to prevent race track injuries. To accomplish our mission, we will promote motorcycle racing safety and education. Specifically, the Roadracing World Action Fund advocates and promotes the use of soft barriers to prevent racetrack injuries, and provides education on the value of adequate pre-race practice, rider training, and proper racetrack preparation. The Roadracing World Action Fund also addresses other health and safety education issues concerning motorcycle racing, such as tobacco advertising, the use of certified helmets and leathers, and setting rider safety as the top priority on race day.
