Boots...Vented or Non-Vented?

I just got the calf-high ones (boot cut), as I always wear long Underarmour pants. Personal preference, really. I just don't like really high socks. Either one would do the job.

I have SIDI Vertigo Airs...been thrilled with them, the little vent holes do work. I also out curiosity tried using a soccer sock (I have tons) as they ride higher than the boot, fit snug and have 'wicking' type thin materials. I was rather shocked at how much air I felt getting to my feet. Maybe kind of weird, but so was under armour not long ago.
