This deletes a lot of the fun and challenging parts for a boring 90 degree turn. Figuring out how hard you can trail brake into the decreasing radius right is always interesting. And getting the exit correct out of the long left to get a good drive onto the straight is great when you nail it.

NJMP needs more lefts, not less.

Maybe they are removing the armco that's there..... we'll see. I think there is armco there now?

You'd think for having a bunch of laps there that I would be able to make sense of that picture, but I can't. What I read on the website and imagine in my head kinda makes sense. But then I look at the picture and get confused as can be

I really like T9 for the decreasing radius problem it presents and T10 for the opportunity to double apex it without going too deep before the direction change.

Two seasons ago I totally sucked at T9 and T10 (eyes) but this season I was a lot stronger through them (eyes and BP). I like how it feels to nail a vital section of the track.

I guess I don’t like the Devil’s Pass because it forfeits both opportunities.

The Riders Club, NJMP’s trackday organization, sent out an email about the change. She didn’t specifically say they were going to use it for bikes, but that seems implied.

I wish they would focus and spend money fixing the bumps that have already come back since the repave. 3a is a lot better, but 3c is bad again. And the t12 bump.

The Riders Club has also sent out an email about their increased emergency services costs and added a new $150 surcharge to cover their costs on top of the annual membership fee. I’m not familiar with the business of running a track, but dollars are fungible.

The description says it’ll be used for Rider’s Club as well. As for the surcharge…it sucks. It’s my local track, about 45 minutes from me, and as I bounce back from a broken arm, it’s my main track day track for ‘25. For me, the bumps etc. just make the track something I need to adjust to … c’est la vie for me.

I hope this overlay helps… kinda like a “flat” turns 14 thru 15 at Barber Motorsports Park……left into the front straight…..you can carry some decent speed.
