Gear ratios, patterns and peformance

I'm on a 2007 R6 and am looking to change my gearing configuration. I'm currently running a 14/45 (3.21) and am finding myself to high in the rpms. I think I'm going to go with a 3.0 ratio and am curious if there is any difference in performance running a 15/45 vs. 16/48 setup?

Thanks

16/48 will shorten your wheelbase..

for 3.0, go 15/45.

you can also change chain length if needed to help keep wheelbase the length you want with your new gearing choice..

if you keep it simple, get the 15 front, you'll lose (i think) 3mm of wheelbase which wont be all that big of a deal. going to 16/48 you'll shorten the bike by about 12mm.. that's huge.
