good hotel/motel near Summit Point?

I see the list on the website for places to stay near summit point, but who has been around there and knows where to stay? Definitely don't want to make a reservation, get there and it be one of those hole in the wall dirty places. Thanks for any information!

I like the Comfort Inn in Winchester, VA, right off Rt. 81.

15 minutes away

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn at exit 5 off I-81 a few times. It's pretty nice and not too far - 20 min. to the track. And it's easy to park your trailer in the back. Usually 3 or 4 trailers there.
