Hotbodies Fairing on 06 honda cbr 1000

For those that have hotbodies race fairing on a 06-07 cbr 1000. How did you get the tail section on? Will it slip over the plastic tray like the stock tail or do I have to remove/cut this?

will work with the stock set up ..
there are 2 types of tail sections..

are you talking the one that uses the STOCK seat and STOCK subframe ...?

yes will go on just like a stock tail section ... even mount up the same .. (thats what its designed to do)

so you know all tail sections 2004-7 mount the same

I have the tail that uses the stock seat. Maybe I didn't have it lined up right. I couldn't get it to go over the tray like the OEM tail. I'll give it another shot tomarrow

it does have 'some' give in it to flex it .. not as much as an OEM ... alot of guys that use the bike for track only trim the stock subframe tray to make it go on easier ...

if you are still doing double duty ... not a good idea to trim it
