On the lable: "Can be used with straight water for racing applications"

http://www.hyperlube.com/c3/super-coolant-c8.html

From the website: "Super Coolant can also be used in straight water for maximum temperature reduction and racing applications."

Looks like an alternative to water wetter, both reduce the surface tension of water allowing more contact with hot/cold surfaces and better heat transfer.

Official verdict Yes/No?

It says it contains no antifreeze. I take that to mean no ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. So, if mixed with straight water, it seems fine to me. The only sticking point is the green color, which looks like ethylene glycol, traditional antifreeze, LOL.

Interesting they say to mix it with bottled/tap water, not distilled.

That was my same conclusion before picking a bottle up. I even said the same thing about the color lol Think the color will dissipate a bit when it was diluted.

Link to the anti-distilled article in case anyone would like to read http://www.hyperlube.com/mc_images/category/8/distilled_water_in_cooling_systems.pdf

Next year when I change out antifreeze, think I'll stick with bottled water(not distilled) with this stuff.
