Thats it, im moving. at the beginning of the season i vowed i would not drive any further than 5 hours for a track. After numerous days at VIR hearing guys go on about Barber, i decided to load up the family on goto Alabamy.
WOW! what a first class facility. The track is incredible (besides those very slick tar repair seams in the pavement, stay away from those little danger areas). The museum was INCREDIBLE! I paid $6 for a burger and got a $6 burger, unlike VIRs airport prices for a gas station burger. Wife had several options to view from (air conditioned options). Best weekend so far this year.
Lastly, drum rollllllll......NO FREAKING ROCKS in the paddock.
Still love VIR but happy i made the trip, making reservations for November today.
And as usual, NESBA put on a first class event!
