I was an AZ and I worked in Admin for the first year and a half or two and then CWO-5 Hall picked me up and wanted me to work for him at Test Department.

I worked with and for:

CWO-5 Hall
ABECS Northern
ABEC Prazeau
MAC Britton
QMC Wolke
ADC Daclan
ABEC Golden
YN1 Whittaker
AC2/YN2 Gallow
AZ2 White
AME1 Gudyka
AME2 Penman
AME2 Brown
MaryJoe Disharoon

and a few other people also. But you're right... It is a very small Navy and world! It is pretty funny!

I agree! I'm surprised that no one created a thread like this, or someone has and it just hasn't been brought back up. But... It's so awesome because with the Military being so big, but at the same time small also, you never know who you'll bump into. Right Vinny?? LOL

Just a funny little fact...you enlisted about a year before I was born.

Don't take that as an old man joke. :D

23 years of COLA...holy...crap. :wow:

USMC 2007- present. Due for a PCS in the next few months, hope I get to stay somewhere close on the East coast so I can still reel in Ruhe52 like a tuna at track days.... :haha:

I've been working at Great Lakes Naval Base as a DoD civilian employee since 2003. Weird how I'm now working on the same base I started at 28 years ago.

Wow! Talk about a lot of ups and downs! I was in the same predicament. This whole new Perform to Serve BS, ERB and High Year Tenures for E-5's at 14 was killing me... I was on my last look for PTS and already submitted a claim for the VA and was ready to get out. Then oh look! You've been approved, so I got to submit an extension on my contract for another year to reach HYT. Then PTS came again and picked up again and then I made first and back on the chopping block for PTS yet again. Then it got approved and now I can stay in for 20 or unless I go "O."

Since I've been deployed under the 332d Expeditionary Air Wing multiple times going back to the 1990's, I figure I'd claim a little of the red-tail's heritage.

Prior to that the SV was inspired by the A-7, the jet my unit had prior to the F-16.
