Do any of you have experience mixing a pirelli diablo slick front with a usa Dunlop kr slick on the rear?

People feel very strongly about this sort of thing. I'm not one of them. I've mixed brands and models of tires many times over the years. So long as you understand how it is gong to make your bike feel, you should be able to manage those changes. I don't see this as any different than putting on a new tire at only one end of the bike. Of course, some combos will feel and work better than others.

Take what Brad says with a grain of salt, he uses PB Blaster on his chain.

Haha, just kidding Brad.

I've done a similar PireLop combination with DOTs. It works. Doesn't feel terrible. I was burning up a leftover rear I had during CCS morning warmup practice. It's doable. This was on an SV which isn't really hard on rear tires. As you might expect, the front felt like a Pirelli and the rear felt like a Dunlop!
