New break pads

I had EBC HH brake pads installed and am confused about bedding them in. EBC and installer say 100- 300 miles of gentle riding then 6-8 60 mile an hour quick almost full stops then good to go. this seems too long? I am sure on the track a whole track day is not dedicated to bedding in new pads? What is real life method of bedding in pads for best result?

Easiest way to break-in your pads is: change the pads and then do e few medium stops in the pits, then go out and ride! Brakes work on heat so when you start braking your pads are getting hot and they bed in fast!
I changed my pads at RA, earlier this year, and did just that! About 4 or 5 medium stops in the pits then out on the track!
