new to Pirelli tires

Had a Dunlop rear with 5 days on it going back to October 2016, when I showed up to a cold Summit Point track a couple weeks ago. The track was an issue as I was not the only one struggling with traction early that day, but as the struggle continued I decided that it must be a combination of cold track, old tire, and janky Amazon tire warmers.
At lunch I pulled the Dunlop and bought one of these Pirelli's I hear so much about.
The guy steered me to the 180/60 SC1 race slick.
My question is: There is a weird wear pattern consisting of parallel lines around the circumference of the tire on the high wear side.
For those of you that run these, is this common? Have you seen this yourself?
I've never seen this on the Dunlops. Just want to make sure I don't have a defective tire.
Thanks guys, for your help!!

I wish my tires looked that good. FWIW, I normally run the SC2 in the colder temps and save the SC1 for the hot summer days. Especially at NCBike in the summer. You will burn up and SC2 in less than a day and the SC1 will go a couple days.
