Rain lights for wet track days?

I just got done getting all my alpha racing fairings and stickers installed and there were two bolt holes I could not figure out under the tail, and I was told they are for mounting rain lights. LOL. I checked and Alpha sells a rain light set, but it appears to mount below that (and clearly there is nothing bolted in those holes!). Anyway, my question is do we need rain lights for track days if we are riding in the rain as normally all the lights need to be taped up? I have no lights at all anymore, but would get a rain light set if that is desired for riding in the rain.

No lights required, in fact we would most likely ask you to tape them up

Right, that is what I figured. My bike has no lights at all anymore so nothing to tape. I figured the rain lights are for racing, not track days.
