I was reading an article about Troy Herfoss and his high level of aerobic fitness. Anyone have any resources or tips they'd be willing to share regarding high level rider fitness?
Fantastic advice. Especially like how you put niece to shoulders. I would also not underemphasize the breath. Making sure to breathe out and in, from the belly so that one is as calm as possible is also very helpful.I'm a recent returnee to the track at 60 years old, after 30+ years and losing over 50lbs, and the biggest benefits I've found aside from aerobic and cardio basics is from core work yoga. Anything that builds strength and flexibility from the knees to the shoulders has been my go to. Your age and base fitness will determine what you will benefit most from.
I got a TTR and did mini-moto instead! Call it my training wheels.Get a dirtbike and go ride trails, light to hard enduro, you'll ride yourself into shape, have fun and question your life decisions. We typically ride off-road November-March sometimes utilizing studded tires for snow and frozen ground.
