Spec tires in MotoGP????

I think this will be good for MotoGP racing. Isn't it better for the racing to be less about who has the best tires and more about who's the better rider? On a similar note, this is one of the arguments against traction control. Rossi has said TC (and four strokes) has made less talented riders faster...referencing the 500cc 2-stroke days saying modern race bikes are comparatively boring.

I've been looking forward to this for a while. Look at how big of an issue tires have been this season. It works great for WSBK so I think it should work great for GP as well.
