Oh..Tom Kaley just reminded me of my Road Atlanta pit crash of December 2009.

I rolled through tech...it was 29 degrees that morning..bike would not start after I PASSED tech. So, DJ gives me a push start..on the way back I rev the bike a little to get the system to put some amps into the battery.....and I think, "This isn't such a safe idea, I need to slow down in the paddock." I just BARELY tap Brembo's lever and I'm whipped onto the pavement. Dumbass! I'm wearing all my gear Thank GOD, BUT my gloves...I have 10 knuckles...5 have skin after that slide...DOUBLE DUMBASS!!!!

Bike was fine..and I had a spare helmet....knuckles dripping blood during rider's meeting. Rode 5 sessions and had a GREAT Time that day!

Explaining the damaged hands in meetings at work for a couple of weeks was an entertaining intro to the topics to be discussed..because every meeting started with, "What the HELL happend to your hands?"
