With me being new and the season coming to an end, I figured this would be a good time to start making a list of things to collect over the winter. So what parts are youre "Must Haves" for spares and back ups?
So far I have:

-extra levers
-extra set of rear sets

my spares bin has OEM stuff that was taken off the bike.
levers, master cylinder. spare levers. clip on bars (not pre-drilled yet, but I need to do that)
rear set spares.
spare metric bolts and bits.

That's about it...
but I need to add fairing stay, windscreen, gauge cluster to it.

There's no end to a spares bin. you can keep going until you have everything you'll need to completely build the bike if i gave you motor and frame :)

Babywipes, keys to bike, gas, and cash...good to go

Seriously though, everything you can carry, that you think you might not need. And baby wipes.

MUST have?

Bars (not the whole clip on set, just bars)
Sprockets (different tracks need different gears....at least on my bike)
levers (at least two)
foot pegs (again, two)
brake and shifter lever (i actually dont have these :( )
Fairing stay
nuts/bolts
fluids (brake and oil mainly)
zip ties
helmet, gloves. (as likely as anything else to be unusable after an off)

:agree:

Seriously though, bike parts are expensive as it is without buying an extra of everything that you might need. The person that buys your old bike when you upgrade really makes out I suppose.

For the most part it seems the spare you need is the one you don't have.

But spare levers, clip-on rods is sensible, plus bring the OEM rear sets, oh and zip ties!

Tissues, lots and lots of tissues for when they bring your bike back on the crash truck. :(

Spare helmet? LOL, I think it's time to go home at that point.

Way to long to list!

Lets put it this way, if you need a tool, bolt, or some other odd item come see me or JonnyZ. If I dont have it Jonny will; if he doesnt have what you need you are screwed for the day.

I like to be pretty well prepared too. Anything I wish I had on hand, I make a note and the next track day I have it. 20 some odd days later, Im 10lb shy of the limit on my trailer.

oh, and make your next post count. mr1000

I try to stick to the main things(levers & such) and main consumables like brake pads/fluid & tires.

My spares box is pretty large, but it came with the bike.

Radiator
Brake Master Cylinder
Brake Lever
Clutch Perch
Clutch Lever
Ram Air Tubes
Rearsets
Spare Quick-Shifter (Thank You Road Atlanta)
Spare Wheels with Rotors
Spare Front and Rear Rotors
Assortment of Gearing
Case Cover Gaskets
Head Gasket
Piston Rings
Valves
Valve Springs
Valve Retainers
Inner Fork Tubes
Subframe
Bodywork
Windscreen
Brake Pads
Clipons
Fairing stay
Triples (upper and lower)
Clutch Plates, Fibers, and Springs
Exhaust mid pipe
Exhaust canister
Front and Rear Axles

And this is just the stuff I can remember. It might be easier to just build another bike and bring it to the track.
