Figure I wouldn't post this in Aman's thread he started in Nov 2012 and others have updated for 2013. Gould's post seems to be more logical for 2013 A group vids.

I believe it was in Saturday's 3rd session, I could hear a knocking noise coming from the engine. I couldn't get it to duplicate in the paddock but finally figured out the noise only happened in 3rd gear. My thought of a broken gear tooth was confirmed on Sunday's 2nd session when I broke a 2nd tooth in 3rd gear (much louder "bang, bang, bang" and the pit in track marshal even stopped me to say it was very loud coming down the front straight. Needless to say, it ended my day. Oddly enough, my best personal lap came that session with a 1:38.75. Would have been nice to finish the day and likely improved on the laptime. I've already pulled the engine out and started to split the case to pull the transmission out. If it had to happen, it couldn't have been at a better time with at least 4 months of downtime in the off season!
Enjoy!
